TERMS AND CONDITIONS – ROAD/MOUNTAIN BIKES AND ELECTRIC SCOOTERS
Failure to comply with the below terms and conditions may result in recovery costs from you the guest for any damage to the apartments or common property.
- APARTMENT BIKE or SCOOTER EQUIPMENT
To comply with all bike/scooter terms and conditions, we have provided bike accessories for your use and the following can be found in the wardrobe in the bedroom.
- bike stand
- protection mats
- black bag that contains bike protector covers and cleaning rags.
- RECEPTION EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE – a 23-piece tool kit, hex tools, electrical extension lead and power boards. All equipment is on loan and must be returned to reception after use.
- NO DIRTY or WET BIKES allowed inside apartments.
- A wash station to clean bikes or scooters is available in the car park near rubbish bins. Refer to your apartment map on the back of your welcome pack.
- Your apartment key will access the toolbox for cleaning equipment, bike hex tools, hose nozzles. Please return the hose & nozzles to the tool box and lock the tool box after your use.
- Please place the
- cleaning rags contaminated with grease in the red rubbish bins.
- dirty (no grease) cleaning rags in the bucket in the tool box provided in the car park.
- APARTMENTS WITH SECURE BALCONIES – Bikes or scooters are to be stored on the apartment balconies and not in the apartments. There is bike equipment in the wardrobe that includes a bike protector cover and bike stand. Any damage to the walls and floor coverings will incur a repair/cleaning charge.
- LOWER-LEVEL APARTMENTS WITHOUT SECURE BALCONIES – Bikes or scooters may be stored inside the apartment using the rubber mats provided only. Bike equipment is provided for your use and stored in the wardrobe that includes a bike protector cover, bike stand and rubber matting. Please ensure that your bikes/scooters are always standing on the bike stand positioned on the rubber mats provided with the covers on to prevent damage to walls and floor coverings. Any damage to the walls and floor coverings will incur a repair/cleaning charge.
- Bikes/scooters must be carried across carpet areas, not wheeled across carpeted areas. Carpet cleaning cost may apply if you fail to adhere.
- BIKE/SCOOTER MAINTENANCE – Maintenance work on a bike or scooter strictly in the outdoors area of your apartment on balconies or courtyards. (You must use the mats and stands when working on the bike), bike stands, cleaning cloths, mats are in the apartment wardrobe.
- Do not use apartment linen to clean bikes and scooters. Please use rags supplied with your apartment bike equipment or near the bike wash station near the bins in the carpark. Failure to do so may result in a surcharge.
- CHARGING OF ELECTRIC BATTERIES BIKES/SCOOTERS.
NSW Fire services attribute that 180 fires (three fires every week) involve lithium-ion batteries, and that almost one hundred people have been injured and more than fifty large fires started by e-bikes or e-scooters while charging in 2022/23.
- The CHARGING of BIKES or SCOOTERS is NOT PERMITTED inside apartments.
- All charging MUST BE DONE ON APARTMENT BALCONIES or COURTYARDS.
- Battery chargers are NOT to be left powered ON and charging overnight.
- Battery chargers are not to be left powered on or connected while your apartment is unattended.
IF WHILE CHARGING YOUR EQUIPMENT – SMOKE OR FIRE OCCURS
- TURN OFF ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE BATTERY CHARGER
- DISCONNECT ELECTRICAL LEADS
- CLOSE APARTMENT BALCONY DOORS and
- NOTIFY THE MANAGEMENT IMMEDIATELY – Dial 0433 781 516.
IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE
- DO NOT USE WATER TO COOL THE BATTERY/CHARGER
- USE DRY POWDER EXTINGUSHER – LOCATED OUTSIDE OF YOUR APARTMENT.
